The Scholarships were established in 2013 and are funded by the Graduate School of Management.
The main purpose of the Scholarships is to support international students to up-skill and launch a business career by completing a Master of Management, Master of International Business or Master of Professional Accounting degree in the Graduate School of Management at The University of Auckland Business School.

The Scholarships are tenable by international students who are citizens of a country in Africa, Asia/Pacific Island, Europe, America & Caribbean, NZ & Australia, USA, Canada, West Asia/Middle East; such as:
Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Western Sahara, Zambia and Zimbabwe
To take up and be paid the Scholarship the recipient must be enrolled and have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time study in a Master of Management, Master of International Business or Master of Professional Accounting degree in the School of Graduate Management at The University of Auckland Business School.
The basis of selection will be:
- academic merit (assessed by the GPA or GPE obtained over the applicant’s most recent two years of full-time graded study)
- and a written statement, should be no more than 500 words and must highlight the applicant’s potential to succeed in business studies at The University of Auckland and include details about their career goals, motivations and also demonstrate how they can be an ambassador for The University of Auckland Business School.
What does it cover:
These international scholarships will be awarded for a period of up to one year and each will be of the value of up to $30,000.
